  • 24 June 2026 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm
  • SEND 26/27

Designing impactful curriculum intent for post-16 learners.

Programme aim

This webinar explores how to design clear and meaningful curriculum intent for post 16 learners, with a strong focus on alignment to EHCP outcomes, employment pathways, and independence. You will examine how to move from broad statements to precise intent that drives planning, teaching, and assessment.

The session includes practical examples from vocational and life skills provision. You will see how outcomes link to real work contexts, daily living skills, and preparation for adulthood. This includes embedding communication, social interaction, and problem solving within curriculum delivery. You will learn how to map EHCP targets into curriculum plans so that progress is visible and measurable.

The webinar also covers how to ensure intent is understood by all staff and consistently applied across teams. By the end, you will have clear approaches to strengthen curriculum design and improve outcomes for learners.
