The aim of this course is to support maths teachers to embed inclusive, language-aware pedagogy into everyday maths teaching.
Who is this for?
This programme is for:
- Post-16 maths teachers
- Subject specialists teaching ESOL learners
- Teachers delivering Functional Skills or GCSE maths programmes
- Practitioners looking to reduce language-related barriers and develop more inclusive practices
Programme structure
The programme consists of two, 120 minutes sessions
What will you gain?
Gain the knowledge and practical skills to identify and address language-related barriers in maths teaching, develop inclusive learning activities and strengthen learners' mathematical understanding and confidence. Build your ability to support mathematical language development, encourage problem-solving and assess learner progress effectively.
