If you are a member and previously had an only SET account and you haven't logged in yet, you'll need to create a new account using the same email address that you used for your 'SET' account previously, to ensure that all your history is linked.

Follow these simple steps:
  1. Go to the sign in page at the top of the website
  2. Scroll down and click Don't have an account? Sign up now 
  3. Enter the same address that you used previously to access your SET account 
  4. Click Send verification code
  5. Go to your email inbox and copy and paste the code emailed to you into the box marked verification code and click Verify code
    • If you're waiting for your code, please also check your junk mail and allow up to 15 minutes for the code to appear, please do not click send new code until after this time.  If you still don't have an email with a code, check our other FAQs.
  6. Set your password and add your details as requested 
    • The password must contain a minimum of 14 characters and contain 3 out of 4 of the following:
      • a lowercase letter
      • an uppercase letter
      • a digit (0-9)
      • and one or more symbols, such as @, #, !, & or £
  7. Click Create, creating an account is free
  8. You will then be automatically signed in and be able to visit your MyETF dashboard where you can find your membership information and more.

If you previously had an ETF Account or you've logged on before then you'll be able to sign in using these simple steps:
  1. Go to the sign in page at the top of the website.
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Select Sign in
    • If you're getting an error please check your email address and password are correct.
    • If you're still having trouble you can reset your password by selecting Forgot your password? and entering your email address.

  1. Why do I have to enter a code?
    We ask you to enter a verification code to verify that you are the owner of your email address and help to protect your security.

  2. How do I get my code?
    Codes are sent to the inbox of the email address you provide from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com. If you do not receive a code within 15 minutes, please avoid repeatedly requesting codes, as this may lead to your code being further delayed or failing to arrive at all.

  3. What should I do if my code does not arrive?
    Please try the following:
    • Refresh or click Send/Receive in your Inbox
    • Check in your Junk Mail or Spam folders
    • Double-check that you entered your email address correctly in the box provided, with no missing characters or typos

If you still have no code, your email provider may be blocking the email. This can happen for various reasons and you can normally fix this by:

If you are using an email address provided by your workplace, you may need to request that your IT team set up this email address as an approved sender for you.

If you have tried all the steps above and you are still having trouble verifying your email address, you might want to try using a different email address or, if you need to use this email address for your membership, call us on 0800 083 1830 (Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5pm) or email enquiries@etfoundation.co.uk for further assistance.

  2. What do I do if I can’t remember my password?
    You can get a new password at any time, click on Forgot my password and follow the instructions onscreen.
