SEND Knowledge Exchange Network: PfA

  • Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
  • 114351

In these sessions, participants will rethink Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) as a proactive, long-term approach rather than something that begins shortly before a young person leaves education. The session explores how early and consistent attention to the four core PfA outcomes — employment, independent living, community inclusion and health — can create stronger pathways and better outcomes for learners with SEND. It will also consider how current SEND reforms and universal inclusion opportunities, including the Inclusive Mainstream Fund, can support a more ambitious and inclusive approach to preparation for adulthood.

Who is this for?

Teachers and leaders in the FE and Skills sector.
