By the end of this course, you will be able to adapt, design and use phonics activities to help their learners to improve their reading or spelling, as needed. 

Programme aim

To provide participants with an opportunity to share ideas for phonics activities that can be used to help learners to improve their reading or spelling and give teachers the tools to design useful phonics activities to support learners to achieve their goals in reading and spelling, as needed.

Who is this for?

Teachers of Functional Skills and GCSE English in the post-16 sector or learning support assistants who support learners working towards these qualifications.

This course is for teachers who already have a basic knowledge of the key terminology and concepts involved in phonics and the principles and practices underpinning the.
