Learning without Barriers - High Quality Inclusive Practice in FES & Apprenticeships

Join Dr Barbara Van Der Eecken MSET to introduce and reconfirm the foundations of high quality inclusive practice in FES and apprenticeships. This session will build shared language and expectations around inclusion, explore what Ofsted looks for and strengthens practitioners’ ability to identify learner needs early using a whole learner lens.

Aim of event

  1. Reaffirm why inclusion is central to quality, learner experience and Ofsted's expectations in FES and apprenticeships
  2. Understand the key elements Ofsted considers when evaluating inclusion: starting points, adaptations, learner voice and impact.
  3. Use a whole-learner lens to interpret learner needs
  4. Strengthen early identification skills by recognising how practitioners can support in the first 4-6 weeks of learning.
  5. Build shared language and shared expectations of what 'effective' inclusive practice looks like across roles and settings.
