The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) extends its congratulations to all T Level students receiving their results today (14 August 2025), as well as those students receiving results for BTEC Nationals and other Level 3 vocational and technical qualifications (VTQs).
The first cohort of T Level students began studying in September 2020, initially provided with a choice between three T Level subjects: education and childcare, digital, and construction. The cohort of students who are receiving their results today began studying their T Levels in September 2023, by which time eighteen T Level subjects were available, including new routes in Legal Services and Agriculture, Land Management and Production.
Today’s T Level results were published by the Department for Education (DfE) with 91.4% of students successfully passing their course.
Since 2019, staff planning and delivering T Levels have had access to support via the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer, delivered by ETF and funded by the DfE. TLPD offers staff across T Level providers – from teachers and leaders to support staff – a range of support, continuing professional development (CPD), resources, networking, collaboration opportunities, mentoring and industry upskilling.
The TLPD programme has continued to evolve in response to engagement with, and actively listening to, the sector to ensure the offer continues to meet providers’ needs. For the new academic year 2025–26, some courses have been adapted to shorter, topic-driven sessions, including those for teachers in schools. Other courses focusing on subject-specific teaching have been streamlined, including for Engineering and Manufacturing and Finance and Accounting.
ETF’s CEO, Dr Katerina Kolyva, commented: “Congratulations to this year’s T Level students and all other students receiving their results today.
“We also want to recognise the dedicated teachers, leaders and support staff who have guided learners throughout their journey. At ETF, working with our valued delivery partners, we’re proud to have equipped thousands of professionals across the FE and Skills sector and schools through the T Level Professional Development offer, supporting high-quality T Level planning and delivery. T Levels continue to play a vital role in upskilling the future workforce, providing the technical expertise and industry experience needed to drive economic growth and support the delivery of the Government’s Industrial Strategy. As the sector’s professional body, we look forward to continuing our support in developing the workforce for both new and established providers in the year ahead.”
About T Levels
A T Level is broadly equivalent to three A Levels. Students who have completed their T Level course are able to progress to employment, start an apprenticeship, or move into higher education. There are now over 20 T Level subjects available for students. In September there are due to be 399 providers delivering T Levels, including 146 also delivering the T Level Foundation Year.
