The Education Training Foundation (ETF) is proud to have supported 28,000 activities as part of the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer, funded by the Department for Education (DfE), since the TLPD Pilot Phase began in 2019.
Participation figures for the period May 2019 to July 2022, show that almost 15,000 individuals (14,525) have participated in the programme.
Those who have participated in the offer have shared their positive experiences. One TLPD participant said: “Going through this [TLPD programme] gave me ideas on how to deliver our T Levels better, especially for formalised assessments, giving feedback and tracking progress of our students.”
In August, the first T Level results day, Jenny Jarvis, Interim CEO of the ETF, said:
“[We] pay tribute to all staff from T Level providers who have guided their students over the past two years. It’s been incredibly rewarding to support many of them through the TLPD offer – and to see the clear benefit this has had on the experience of students.
“With more T Level subjects set to be offered by more colleges and schools, it’s an exciting time for the sector.”
The ETF has been supporting the delivery of T Levels since 2019 and was awarded a four-year contract by the DfE in February 2020 to continue to support providers, leaders and practitioners to deliver the new courses.
The TLPD offer for 2022/2023 includes new opportunities for schools preparing to deliver T Levels and aims to meet the needs of the workforce alongside relevant regional, employer and curriculum requirements. The ETF continues to work with providers from across the FE sector, employers, professional bodies and key partners to enhance the programme and ensure teachers are fully supported.
